Terms of Service.

1. The service

BackOfficeLaw provides software tools that help legal professionals organize matters, documents, authorities, evidence and timelines, and that generate AI-assisted analysis and draft work product. The service is provided to professionals for use in their own practice.

2. Professional responsibility

AI-generated output is assistance only. It may be incomplete or incorrect, may misdescribe authorities, and must be independently verified by a qualified legal professional before any reliance. BackOfficeLaw is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, does not guarantee legal accuracy or case outcomes, and does not replace an attorney. Use of the service does not by itself create an attorney–client relationship or privilege between you and anyone.

3. Accounts and subscriptions

Accounts require an active paid subscription billed monthly through PayPal. Access is suspended when a subscription becomes inactive. You may cancel at any time from the Billing page; cancellation ends access immediately and is not refunded for the remainder of the period unless required by law.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of documents and data you upload. You grant BackOfficeLaw a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the service, including transmitting it to our AI provider for analysis. You are responsible for having the right to upload it and for complying with confidentiality obligations that apply to you.

5. Acceptable use

Do not upload unlawful content, attempt to access other users’ data, probe or disrupt the service, or use the service to practise law without authorization.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and BackOfficeLaw’s aggregate liability is limited to the subscription fees paid in the twelve months preceding a claim.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the workspace before they take effect.
